Definately not a problem. I was reading over the above comments. One thing that really struck me was the precision of the editing on the beat. As a musician, it is just a thing of beauty when done correctly. Some videos miss the beat and it drives me crazy. I feel like the track is off. Not the case here.
And, I am glad you liked my site. No vids, but some of the music I did myself. (Not wrote, but it is my interpretation.) And the stories and most of the poems are written around music.

May I say that that is by far the best video I have seen. The precision of the editing is so superior that it plays like an actual movie. You have done an outstanding job and have every reason to be proud of this. Thank you so much for sharing.

Wowzers..thanks Aislynn! I'm more than glad to share about the tools I use. Thank you so much for your kind words about "Speed of Sound". It really just came into my head. There were so many scenes that I knew I wanted to use at just that beat, word, note, etc. I was really surprised no one had beaten me to it!

That is an *amazing* vid! Just the sheer amount of thought that went into it... My brain is boggled! :thud: Absolutely my favorite LotR of all time and the most perfect-looking vid I've ever seen! Thanks for sharing about Gordian Knot, Xvid compression and Ulead Video 9! I'm stuck with WMM version 1  but I LOVE knowing what programs other people use, especially when the results are this jaw-dropping! But still, the most impressive part of this vid to me is how you took all those hours of LotR and condensed them so beautifully into a 4-plus minute vid, in chronological order, matching the lyrics, *and* hitting all the beats! If it could've been done better, I don't see how! I'm SO loving your site! Vid on!

Email me about Gordian Knot...there's another program I use in association with it called AutoGordian Knot...I'll tell you all about it if you want. Ulead Video Studio 9 does indeed have the reverse feature. You can dl a free trial on their site. I paid $99.99 for the whole thing and I  it!

Thanks... hmmm Gordian Knot... will have to check that out. I was starting to get frustrated with the other dvd rippers I was using. I was just starting to play with Vegas Video before my HD died, but the files were coming out so large... I'm sure there was a way to change things, but I hadn't figured out how yet. With Ulead do you have the option to put the video in reverse? (for instance a car driving forward would look like it's rewinding) If so, I might have to check that out. I'm dying to do a vid using that feature.

Sure thang :wink2: I ripped the DVDs with Gordian Knot using Xvid compression and with Ulead Video 9, I made my .wmv file using the preset "Neptune Best Quality" setting. I don't know if it's a Ulead thing or not, but other programs would probably have some preset options to try out.
