Jenn, very cool, thanks!!!! I think, once I end up getting things set up, I'll either compose an explanation in the message boards, to let the known be known, or even in the wordpress wiki. It's a shame for essential knowledge to go away like that, and I'll see if I can rectify it.

re: customized string, I did poke through the source of the plugin and saw that I can do color and size and shadow and stuff. Maybe even font face!

BTW, props on your FAQ, including WordPress plugins used, etc. The site I'm using image headline for isn't my main blog, but it's time to do some revamp there as well, and I'm inspired by your example.

By the way, maybe what'd be helpful is to see your page template where you use it. Your index.php template or sidebar.php (if you've got it all divided per WordPress 1.5 and later)

I'll keep you posted on what I do (re: writing about my experiences), and invite your comments when I draft something. Thanks again! :)

Hi, Susan. The first thing you need to do is install the RunPHP plugin. You can find the link on my FAQ page. After following all the setup steps for it, you have to add the code whereever you want it. I use this code ?php echo ImageHeadline_render( 'Search','font_size=14px'); ? There are several strings you can customize and if you want to email me at Jenn @ zeromuch.com, I'd be more than happy to write it out a little plainer and with better examples :wink2:

Greets! I found your site through the WordPress support <a href="http://wordpress.org/support/topic/28870" rel="nofollow">thread about using</a> the Image Headline. ColdForged, the maker of that plugin has had one too many run-in with his hosting provider, and so his site at coldforged.org is no longer online.

Why did I come here to tell *you* that? Well, I'm trying to go beyond the basics for using image headline in titles to using it in other places in the site. But all the information on coldforged's site describing how to do so is gone.

I see that you have some images on your sidebar. THAT kind of inline image creation is the information that got lost with coldforged's site. How did you do that?

Thanks,
