About the site:

ZeroMuch.com was chosen as a name for the site after quote from the television show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I currently own zeromuch.com, zeromuch.org, and zeromuch.net. My domain and hosting are through 1and1.com and I have been very pleased with them.

The original intent of the site was to provide Faramir (and general) screencaps immediately following the theatrical release of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.

Upon viewing fanvids from such wonderful vidders as Karen and Ashinae, I decided to try my hand at vidding. The initial results are rather disastrous and are <s>sadly still on this site. They will be (rightfully) purged within months.</s> gone!

As expected, my first several vids were LOTR vids. My first non-LOTR vid was a Troy vid (which has also been removed from the site due to picture quality). I made my first LOST vid just after seeing the pilot episode. I fell in with the show and have enjoyed it very much. SGA vids are another kind of challenge. I find it very difficult to match songs to the show, especially since it’s set in a place that’s both old and new.

About vidding:

I do not approve of clip theft. If you want to use scenes, just shoot me an email. I almost always say, “SURE!”

I recommend using KMPlayer to watch all media. All ZeroMuch vids, as well as all vids, look better with this player. I haven’t used Windows Media or WinAmp since switching. Crystal Player doesn’t even match the picture depth and clarity. You can even take screenshots of any media with the player in storyboard format! Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed. As a bonus, there are plenty of skins available, also FREE!

I use the following tools to make fanvids. I have tried many other products, but for ease, I prefer these:

Gordian Knot and AutoGK for ripping

Ulead Video Studio 9
or Arcsoft Showbiz 2 (media editor) and/or Windows Movie Maker 2

Adobe Photoshop and MicroGrafx Picture Publisher for still graphics

Smart FTP and WinZip (to get the vids uploaded)

1&1.com for the best hosting I’ve ever had
