Vid Title: Wings of Steel
Author: Kristin
Site: Blood Ties
Notes: I first watched this vid last summer and said, “Wow, this wasn’t made by an amateur!” I’ve never seen Underworld, but this vid is my all time favorite.
Vid Title: Relax
Author: Martouf Marty
Site: Martouf Marty’s Webpage
Notes: I owe a huge part of my fandom love to MM. This vid is a perfect example of what’s so great about Stargate: Atlantis. Full of energy and great editing, this will make you do anything but “Relax”!
Vid Title: Smooth Criminal
Author: Di
Site: Return to Innocence
Notes: The link for this one takes you to Di’s LJ where you will find the vid. This is one of the best edited vids I’ve ever seen. Every “shot” wows you and you get completely wrapped up in the action, the beat, and the drama.
Vid Title: In The Shadows
Author: Charmax
Site: Bronze Ambition
Notes: This is an amazing Equilibrium vid. The song, the editing, the cross-body shooting…all wonderful. I’ve looped this vid many times since first seeing it.
Vid Title: Kryptonite
Author: Pooh
Site: PoopyPooh Vids
Notes: I love Major John Sheppard, and it’s clear that Pooh does too. This is a quirky action vid that instantly became a favorite.
Vid Title: Captain Jack
Author: Elena
Site: Music and Movies
Notes: Captain Jack Sparrow has never looked so clever. Great song selection and full of fun!
Vid Title: No Bravery
Author: Charmax
Site: Bronze Ambition
Notes: This vid captures the emotion and true intent of the story. The movie couldn’t quite “get it”, but this sad, thoughtful vid is magnificent. It’s easy to overlook the perfect editing if you’re not careful because the mood is so rich and plays so well. By far the best Troy vid out there.
Vid Title: Lonely Dreams
Author: Di
Site: Return to Innocence
Notes: The link for this one takes you to Di’s LJ where you will find the vid. I never watched Farscape. I’ve seen quite a few vids from the fandom that were well done, but this one made me actually want to see the show. For the first time, a vid from a fandom I’m not a part of made me feel like I missed out on something. The song is wonderful and the editing/pacing are perfect–a wonderful tribute to John and Aeryn.
