If marrying Mark on July 4, 2013 was the best thing I’ve ever done (and it is), honeymooning at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House was the second best. The beauty of the architecture, the amazement of the zebras, giraffe, and friends right outside our room, and the exotic flavors of the meals made it the perfect resort for us. We all but raced down the hallway each day to see who could detect the scent of the wood-fired oven first. I think we were perfectly happy to settle for a tie. Every experience we had that week made the perfect start to our marriage.
When we decided we wanted to celebrate our fifth anniversary, we made plans to stay at Jambo House again. Now, we’ve been to Disney and not stayed at AKL. and I’m sure we will have several visits that we don’t get to stay there, but for the big moments, yeah, we’ll be Welcomed Home.
